Our Commitment

The Love Planet Foundation is committed to ensuring that our website, loveplanetfoundation.org, is accessible to people with disabilities. We aim to meet or exceed the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA as established by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C).

We view accessibility as an ongoing effort, not a one-time checklist. We regularly review and improve our site to remove barriers and welcome feedback from our community.

Current Status

We are actively working toward full conformance. The following features are already in place:

• Semantic HTML structure with meaningful headings and landmarks
• ARIA labels and roles on interactive components (modals, forms, navigation)
• Descriptive alt text on meaningful images
• Keyboard-navigable interactive elements (buttons, forms, modals)
• Focus management in modal dialogs and drawers
• Color choices designed with contrast in mind for body text
• Reduced motion respect via the prefers-reduced-motion media query
• Screen reader-only labels (sr-only) for form fields and icon buttons
• Decorative elements marked aria-hidden="true"

Known Limitations

We are aware of areas we are still working to improve:

• Some video content does not yet include captions or transcripts — we are actively adding these
• Certain animated elements may be distracting for users with vestibular disorders; reduced-motion support is being expanded
• Some complex interactive sections may benefit from additional keyboard navigation improvements
• Color contrast on a small number of decorative text elements is below AA target — under review

We are committed to addressing these limitations and welcome your reports if you encounter any barrier we have not listed.

Our site is designed and tested to work with:

• Screen readers (NVDA, JAWS, VoiceOver on macOS and iOS, TalkBack on Android)

Our website uses third-party services including PayPal (for donation processing) and Formspree (for form handling). While we strive to choose accessible third-party tools, we cannot fully control their accessibility.
